Available now to Warre' beehive users is our accessories page for single items to purchase. Available now are a hive box with top bars, a feeder system, and a hive box with removable wire frames and Rite Cell plastic foundation. Check out the page!!
Beginning beekeepers, now is the time to begin reading up on beekeeping and what's entailed if one is going to start in spring. Also, this is a great time to order either a sustainable backyard Warre' Hive or the more commercial, backyard hive, the Langstroth. Spring rolls around quick and deciding at the last minute can be dissappointing. If you need help in getting started keeping bees, or have any questions, e-mail or call. My e-mail is kbloom@bloominbz.com
For those living in McHenry County or in the Algonquin, IL, vicinity, we also will collect any honeybee swarms that might land in your yard. Give us a call 1-847-658-4209
Thanks for choosing BloominBz Beekeeping and Billy B's Lip Balm. Whether you are wanting to try beekeeping or are still thinking about it, you have nothing to lose. It is a provocative learning experience from looking for equipment and learning about what is suited to fit your budget, to purchasing your first package of bees. For the gardener, this is an enhancement that will produce a more succulent harvest of fruits and vegetables. We here at BloominBz and Billy B's want to emphasize that our hives and lip balm are made and prepared with a price to help in the economic challenges many face. Let's sustain the honeybee. Start beekeeping!
If you're a first timer, a backyard gardener who needs to ensure proficient pollination with a basic kit, or someone with some tattered hive boxes which need replacing, look through and make your choice of equipment. One should possess at least a deep hive box, a hive stand, a feeder of choice, (we include a top feeder with the beginner kit) inner cover, entrance reducer, top cover, and either 10 plastic frames 9 5/8" for deep boxes or wooden frames with plastic foundation. You can always add more boxes once the bees are settled in.
Whats Bloomin?
We are located in Algonquin, Illinois, which is in the county of McHenry, and have made some changes to where our bees have been hived by bringing the hives back to Algonquin for a short while. As we work to strengthen our relationship with you, the consumer, we will strive to take an enviromental approach in building our woodenware and utilizing every inch of wood possible to make an affordable item.We will transport any local products ourselves to cut down on shipping and the extra fuel costs and emissions it entails. We will build hive boxes from a standard grade wood and our Warre' hives in standard pine and Western Cedar. As always, we'll keep on searching for plastic container companies that have a bright future in honey bottling, keeping in mind the continued popularity of plastic honey containers, which can be re-used and recycled.
What to find on our website.
